Doing the “I Do”

You're about to change your entire life and dedicate yourself for eternity to the person you love. Congratulations girlfriend! Getting married is wonderful, amazing, beautiful, etc., etc. But let's be honest...it's a little stressful too. Quality time spent with your best ladies is a great way to let some of that tension flow away and an excuse to get the drinks flowing too! Here are a few cute-looking, exotic-tasting, talk-worthy cocktails bound to impress even the harshest of critics. 

Pink Gin Fizz 
2 ounces orange juice
1 1/4 ounces gin
1 tablespoon Simple Syrup (2 cups sugar + 2 cups water)
4 ounces fresh pink grapefuit juice
Seltzer

 

Whiskey Peach Smash
1/2 peach, cut into thick slices
3 or 4 fresh mint leaves
1 lemon wedge
1 ounce water
1/2 ounce simple syrup
2 ounces whiskey
1 sprig mint
1 thin peach slice for garnish

 

Cucumber-Ginger Fizz
1 1/2 cups vodka
2 English cucumbers; 1 peeled and coarsely chopped, 1 left whole
1 lime, cut into 8 wedges
2 bottles (750 mL each) sparkling water
1/2 to 1 cup Ginger Simple Syrup (1 cup sugar + 1 cup water + 1 piece fresh ginger

 

Strawberry Basil Martini 
7 basil leaves with stems
1-ounce strawberry puree
1 cup ice cubes
2 1/2 ounces soju (Korean vodka)
1/2-ounce lime juice
1/2-ounce sweet and sour mix
1/2-ounce strawberry syrup

 

Pimm Pomm
2 ounces Pimms No. 1
Pomegranate cordial
Sliced Granny Smith apple
