Doing the “I Do”

Themed weddings have really taken off as a trend in the past couple of years. Brides especially love to express their creative sides when planning all the details of their special day. It is also fun for guests to walk into a themed event, as it makes the weddings all the more interesting and fun!
Ashley and Nick’s wedding at Saphire Estate on May 7^th, 2011 had a very unique theme. The couple is very casual and homey and decided to have a rustic, woodsy feel to their event. They decorated the pergola with purple and blue flowers with lots of leaves and wooden antlers in the center. The couple rented chocolate brown linens with an ivory underlay. The mantle of the fireplace was decorated with leaves and pinecones, and the centerpieces were white lanterns surrounded by eucalyptus. The bridal bouquet was a mixture of white and blue flowers, ferns and leafy accents. With the lanterns lit at night and the smell of the eucalyptus flowers, the room transformed into an outdoor-like celebration!
