“Saphire is just a beautiful venue with lots of great photo opportunities!”

Steve and I met in 2000 while working at Sears. We were friends for about three years before we began dating. In May of 2010, we took a weekend trip to York Beach, Maine. My family has been vacationing there for many years. The evening we got there, we took a walk on the beach. We walked the entire length of the beach before Steve finally got down on one knee and proposed.

Saphire was the second place we visited but as soon as we arrived there we knew that it was going to be THE place. It suited both of our personalities. It's just a beautiful venue with lots of great photo opportunities! The amazing view of the lake was a real selling point for us. Privacy was also a concern for us. We wanted our day to be just for us and our guests. We really liked the fact that we had the whole place to ourselves. In the end, we know we made a great decision having our wedding at Saphire.

Steve's favorite part of the wedding was our first dance because it was a moment for just the two of us to be together. He was excited about the dip and spin move we did. He made us practice it over and over the night before! For me, my favorite moment was dancing with all of our friends and family. Everyone was just having so much fun and it was cool to see both our families having a good time together.
